Privacy Policy
TripRadr is a free vacation-package comparison site for Canadians. We collect only what we need to run the service, we do not sell your personal information, and you can ask to see or delete your data at any time. Last updated October 16, 2026.
Draft for legal review. This text is a plain-language starting point and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be reviewed before TripRadr launches.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and sign-in information when you create an account.
- Searches: the resorts, dates, departure airports and number of nights you search, including how many searches you run, so we can apply fair-use limits.
- Saved packages and shared comparisons: trips you save, and comparisons you choose to share by link.
- Price alerts: if and when price alerts launch, the trips you ask us to watch and the email address we notify.
- Technical data: basic device and usage information such as browser type, pages viewed and approximate location from your IP address.
We do not ask for payment details, because we do not take bookings.
How we use it
- To run searches and show you price comparisons.
- To create and secure your account, and to keep your saved trips.
- To prevent abuse and limit automated use of the service.
- To understand which pages and features are used so we can improve them.
- To contact you about your account, or about alerts you asked for.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We may use analytics to measure traffic and performance. Where analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first. [To confirm before launch: the analytics tool and cookie banner.]
Booking happens on other sites
TripRadr does not take bookings. When you choose a price we send you to a travel site, and that site collects and uses your information under its own privacy policy. Please read it before you book.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to host the site, store data and send email, and they may only use your information to provide those services to us. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Search records are kept for a limited period for usage limits and service improvement. You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it. [To confirm before launch: specific retention periods.]
Your rights under PIPEDA
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent, and ask us to delete it where we no longer need it. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To make a request, contact us at hello@tripradr.com or through the contact page.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email.
